Pours dark brown . Small foam Smell isnt intence ... But funky Rather low carbo , yet sharp . Taste is sweet , oaky , bit dry . Some sourness , not much cherry . Doable . B 3 is way better

Bottle shared by either Yesper or Markus. Pours with a medium hazed cola hued body with a tan head. Aromas are nutty, sour and bready, light diacetyl, whiskey, oak, almost bourbon like whiskey character. Cherry and cola. Flavors are cola, cherry, medium acidity, malty, wood, lightly acetic, a touch of smoke. Medium alcohol burn, moderately dry with fuller carbonation.

Bottle at Haandfestival 2012. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sourness, berries, roasted malt, dried fruits. flavour is sourness, oak, berries, roasted malt, dried fruit, alcohol. Nice beer.

75cl bottle at Håndverkerstuene, Oslo. Pours deep amber to brown with a minimal off-white head. Aroma of wood, berries, fruit and malt with a hint of vinegar. Sour with dark dried fruits, sour finish and a long, sour aftertaste. Quite complex and well balanced. Some bitterness in the finish. Pleasant and refreshing and a bit different. (2012-09-15)

Pours clear deep amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, sugar, funky berries, and mild acetone. Taste is light to medium sweet and light sour with a long sweet and funky finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, courtesy of GlennC. A minimal-sized off-white head sits on top of a lightly unclear, brown body. Lightly funky, vinegarish nose with some roasted malt hints. Quite a lot of dried fruits, and a tad of something reminiscent of oak and alcohol. It’s tart and still with some residual sweetness, medium to full bodied. Quite sourish flavor with a healthy dose of dried fruits and vinegar. Lasting, lightly roasted finish. A tasteful and almost quenching beer I wouldn’t mind repeating. 120528

Bottle shared at my 30:th birthday tasting on May 5 (30 år av Surt). Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours very dark reddish brown with a brownish white head that is rather quick to dissipate while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and fruity with plums, cherries, bilberries, whisky, wood, red wine and hints of wood, burnt sugar and vanilla. Taste is tiny sweet, sour and tiny metallic with prunes, raisins, red wine, cherries, burnt sugar, red currants, vinegar, wood, grass and hints of whisky. Mouthfeel is tiny dry, tart and medium bodied. Finish is tart with black currants, cherries, lemon juice, lemon zest and hay.

Bottle at "30 år av surt", on May 5, 2012 in Göteborg. Bought at Alvinne biershop. Brune foncée, col léger beige. Arôme de cerises mûrs, léger malt et whisky bien présent. En bouche, fruité, et whisky note cerise sur un beau profile de barrique est très agréable, pointe poivrée sur un pétillant modéré. Encore une fois, le côté Morpheus ressort bien en avant et fini sur un fruité et malts foncés.
