Reddish brown colour, fluffy beige head. Somewhat smoky aroma, caramel, red fruits, light sour hints, quite malty. Hints of wood, marzipan and whisky. Light tart flavour, malty, light astringent, reminding of Belgian oud bruin. Finish dark fruits and woody tones. Very nice.
(From 33cL bottle @ 5th ACBF 2012 - which, btw, was totally awesome)

An unclear dark amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, wood alcohol, and berries. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of wood, malt, fruits, and brettanomyces, leading to a dry and tart finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque brown with a small and dissipating beige head. Lovely cherry aroma, with a tart edge. Medium body, carbonation is a little low. Lots of tart cherries, marzipan with some tart barnyard and dark chocolate combined. Ends dry. A very delicious and complex blending beer - think Liefmans Kriek as it used to be. 030312

Bottle shared with the Kernel crew. Hazy dark brown beer, little tan head. Light crisp palate. Light vinegary sourness, a little balsamic. Cherry provides a little tartness. Trace if bourbon or whisky in the finish. Fairly vinegary but quite drinkable. Finishes semi dry.
