Subtle roast, and soft cocoa powder, with light soy. Very low carb, very watery mouth feel. Light bitterness, sweet cocoa powder finish. Meh, lacks the strong roast and body of an oatmeal stout, this is watery and weak.

Can: Poured a black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light dry notes is quite nice. Taste is a good mic of roasted malt with some light dry bitter notes with subtle residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Very enjoyable for the style and plenty of flavours for a low ABV beer.

A deep dark stout with a thin creamy brown head. In aroma, light chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light coffee, nice. In mouth, a nice smooth bitter chocolate with powdery character, light coffee, grassy hops, nice and smooth. Served with a chocolate. On tap at Québec City location.

Originally rated October 2006. Sampled at the pub itself, in Jonquière, Quebec. Poured a dark brown (almost black) colour with red highlights. Its head was creamy, tanned with long retention. Had a good coffee and chocolat nose with a mild creamy mouthfeel. Nice roasted malt flavour with slight smokiness. Lacking maybe a bit of bite (should be stronger), but other than that, quite a good brew.
