24/04/2011 500ml bottle. Corpo medio, quasi pieno, consistenza oleosa, vinosa, piatta e ossidata. Buona.

From a 500ml bottle on 1/3/2011. Batch No. 435, brewed 18/6/2009, best before18/6/2014. Pours a cloudy amber with a small head. Smells of dark malt, stewed and citrus fruits and alcohol. It starts out sweet with caramel, toffee and dark fruit (prunes) up front. This has a real vinous quality to it, and the alcohol is quite pronounced. It finishes with a long and quite assertive bitterness. A nice big beer.

Courtesy of Bragesnak. Hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet malty, caramel, dried fruit, a little alcohol and light herbal. Flavor is heavy sweet lasting until the alcohol takes over in the finish. Well balanced barley wine that never becomes too sweet or too alcoholic. 190111
