Introduced in 2008 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Bush Caractère, this Triple is based on the Bush Caractère that is then re-fermented in 75cl bottles.
The in-bottle re-fermentation produces an extraordinarily gentle and rounded beer with a natural yeast cloud. It has the characteristic taste and aromas of the Bush Caractère mother beer. Both the splendid screen-printed bottle and the champagne-style cork contribute to Bush Caractère Refermentée prestigious image.

bottle@my beertasting – sample: definitely better than the regular Ambrée but still not quite my thing, hazy golden with white head, overripe fruit, slightly bitter honey, lots of spice, caramel, yeast, roasted almonds (especially in smell) & too much alcohol, bitter finish, ok but a bit too pointlessly raw but definitely a better version of the regular one

Pours bright gold into a snifter. Off-white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Spiced rum soaked candied fruit aromas. Dry and hot with front to back sweet candied fruits and a dry, lasting yeast finish.

750 ml bottle shared with Bryan, Dan and staff at Brasserie Beck. Paired with the nicest fried duck testicles that I’ve ever eaten. No kidding. Ruddy amber color, medium tan head. Aroma of peach and apricot. taste is similar, with nice body and decent malt. A winner. And so were the balls.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, BBE 2012 - thanks Gunter for bringing me this one) The beer poured amber and clear. Head was medium sized, white, fizzy and it disappeared quickly. Aroma had malts, caramell, dried plum and mildly raisin. Palate was warming, dry and medium bodied with quite low carbonation. Flavours were malts, raisin, nuts, mild sweetness, alcohol, hops and medium bittenress. Aftertaste was dry and malty. The burning sense on the tip of my tongue was really annoying. Otherwise this beer despite the high ABV was quite good.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A good load of yeasty chunks joins the orangey dark golden liquid as the beer pours. A finger-thick, off-white, creamy head settles on top. Alcohol, sugar and some spice notes on the nose. Surprisingly, this blend of aromas are quite nice, even though it feels like something is missing. The same goes for the flavor, it’s sweet with some spice hints, dark sugars and bitterness. Slightly warming towards the else bitter finish. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A nice one, indeed. Rather simple in many ways, still quite complex and tasteful. 100611

750 c&c as Scaldis refermentee. BBE 2012. Pours very hazy orange/amber with a good off-white head. Aroma of caramel with a dose of fruit/citrus. Some kandi. Very light spice. Near full in body with foamy carbonation. First some heat. Then some toffee. Or cooked caramel. It has bitter. It has also some malt sweetness. Pretty nice, except that the heat burns quite a bit. Maybe that’s part of the charm: Heat - sugar - bitter - fruit. Repeat. I think the heat loses its effect with time, so it’s getting very tasty. I think it will definitely end bitter.

Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured an orange-amber color with some floaters and a huge yellow-white head that lingered and produced great lacing. The aroma was yeasty and sugary with notes of lemon, apple and cinnamon. The flavor was strongly yeasty with some funk and sugar and notes of honey, lemon, apple, bourbon and pepper. A bit boozy. The finish was long yeasty, sugary and citric. Thick and full body. Very good.
