Early amateur rating warning! Tastles like a full bodied lager - not bad though! Can’t taste any mustard!

Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy orange-amber color with a large foamy tan head. The aroma was bready and spice with the mustard seed definitely noticeable. The flavor was bitter, tart and bready with a fairly strong mustard element. The finish was long, bitter and tart with mustard lingering. Medium body. Quite odd.

Cool little shorty 11.2oz bottle from Brewforia
Appearance: Pours a thick hazy yellow/amber with a huge frothy white head and lots of lacing in the glass
Aroma: Sharp spices, peppery and sweet malts
Taste: Belgian yeast, peppery, sweet malts, caramel and spices
A very unique beer, lots of spices but drinkable.

Pours a cloudy lichtbrown beer with a solid white to beige head. Smells very hoppy. A very pleasant mouthfeeling, lots of carbon, but not to much. Tastes like caramel, a little alcoholsweetness and spices. It tastes very complex, but I can't get exactly what it is. Could it be the mustardseeds??? Ends slightly acidic and somewhat hoppy. Probably one of the last bottles ever made. :(

Nice crisp hazy golden coloured body with a very large and loud tan head - nice! Aroma of bananas, strong metal, wheat, yeast, coriander seed and a touch of spice. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a sweet taste up front fading to a cherry and mild banana flavour, then fading to the more traditional yeast, wheat, spice and a touch of citrus. Aftertaste shows dry hops, bitter malt, a touch of metal and some light alcoholic tastes. Overall, a decent belgie, not my absolute favourite, but definitely not bad in any way! I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle purchased from Half Time in Poughkeepsie, New York on 02-August-2009 sampled a bit later in the day in Upstate New York.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet, delicately malty aroma with a distinctive sharp spicy note, almost iodinic…must be the mustard seed. Sweet and slightly sourish tart flavour, medium body with a moderate carbonation. Malt-accented and subtle fruity taste with present spicy elements; quite sourish and tart finish. Reminds me of an infected Whisky malt lager (22.06.09).

Location: 11.2 oz bottle from Gilly's, 6/13/09

Aroma: Nose is totally dominated by the mustard to the point of being way too much
Appearance: Nice amberish color, a large frothy head
Flavor: Taste was also overly mustard with some belgian ale flavors
Palate: Decent palate, an alright mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Just didn't work for me, too much mustard, if I hadn't have split this one it probably would have been a drain pour. I wouldn't suggest it, that is for sure! Give it ye ole pass unless you want to drink some liquid mustard...
