The first fruits of our Tryanuary brewday, this is Tonkoko like you haven't seen her before! Coming in at a mighty 10.6% and (of course) with even more coconut, tonka, chocolate and vanilla. Boozy, indulgent and so good. Very limited quantities, this is a sneak peek before the barrel aged versions are unleashed next year.

440ml can. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, coconut and tonka beans. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, dark chocolate, boozy alcohol bitter palate. There was no vanilla in my can as was advertised. The alcohol dominated and burned. Not entirely impressed.

Can at Beerheadz Lincoln. Jet black with a tan head. Aroma and taste are chocolate. Vanilla and lots of coconut. Slight bitter chocolate to sweet taste. Smooth and rich body.

440ml can. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is strong tonka, with a little coconut and milk chocolate. Taste is quite smooth, with vanilla, milk chocolate and a strong tonka finish.

Black with a minimal light brown head. Aroma of dried fruit, vanilla, chocolate and some pistachio sense. Sweet with a warm dried fruit, vanilla and chocolate end. Vinmonopolet.no

Tap at HW. Opaque colour, small beige head. Toasted malts, tonka beans in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toasted, cocoa, tonka beans in the flavour. Meh.

On tap at eretici beer festival. So smooth, with crazy Tonka, coconut, milk chocolate, prunes, with a finish of amaretto and sour cherries. Amazing, as someone who lives Tonka Beans this is awesome.

Panda thanks to Cloin: Poured a deep black with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is boozy, chocolate, coconut, spices. Taste is coconut, chocolate, spices, boozy, roasted malts.
