The first fruits of our Tryanuary brewday, this is Tonkoko like you haven't seen her before! Coming in at a mighty 10.6% and (of course) with even more coconut, tonka, chocolate and vanilla. Boozy, indulgent and so good. Very limited quantities, this is a sneak peek before the barrel aged versions are unleashed next year.

Opaque dark brown y, small pale tan head. Smooth soft and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Wow, full on flavour here - sweet dark malts, tangy bitterish vanilla, chocolate candy, little chocolate fudge, floral fruity esters. Coconut candy. Nibbly spice. Bitterish chocolate cake and chocolate fudge. Tangy bounty bar. Smooth finish. Yeah - full on. A little tangy bitter but drinkable. Looking forward to the BA versions of this full on impy.

33 cl can at La Polar, Madrid. This is some good stuff, if you ask me. Jet black, thick creamy tan head, complex aromas in which you mix the usual suspects (coffee beans, dark chocolate, bitter herbs, smoke) with some new scents (coconut, white flowers, sandalwood). Mouthfeel is supervelvety, slow-going, oily, somewhat sweetish but very well balanced both by crispness and sheer bitterness. To round things up, a really long-lasting finish. Gr-r-r-r-reat!

Lata 33 CL en Cimmeria en varias ocasiones. Última en 17..10..2018. (r06). Lote 260. Enlatado 30..08..2018.

Keg pout at the Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Black with a thin off-white head. It's alcohol heavy and this provides a coconut aroma and taste that lingers.

I didn't think they could improve on this beer. But they damn well could! Amazing.
