Eye catching dark pink in appearance with light haze, Blueberry Soak has a lively nose with aromas of pressed concord grape and bramble fruits. Flavors of ripe blueberry and raspberry lead on the palate with a touch of tart lemon zest. Blueberry Soak has a delicate tannic structure and a subtle wheat grain backbone with undertones of wet oak. Features a light body and clean, semisweet finish with a refreshing champagne-like carbonation.

Pours deep purple into a tulip. Pink head recedes to nothing. Blueberry funk aromas. Tart blueberry and lactic cherry front to back. Abrupt, mild blueberry pie finish.

Thanks Zack for the bottle! Poured into a taster showing moderately filtered dark blue with white lacing. The nose is extremely blueberry forward. The palate is light bodied and highly carbonated. Highly tart with very pronounced blueberry throughout. Fantastic.

Bottle drunk 10/22/16.
Large, beige head tops a very lovely looking magenta-violet with lighter gold highlights. Good clarity and good retention.
Tons of blueberry skin, blueberry seed-like peppery spice, skin tannin and juice flavor. It’s all here and it looks like no blueberries were spared in this process. Juicy, yet earthy and lightly spicy. Blueberry is actually a difficult aroma/flavor to describe, but this beer has tons of it and it’s authentic and lovely. Acidity is lighter than Blackberry and Raspberry versions, no doubt in part due to blueberries being less brightly acidic. Wheat, wood, light brett and no alcohol or flaw round out the balanced nose.
Strong blueberry juiciness in the flavor with skin and seed tannin, soft wheat and a chewy biscuity character to the texture. Moderate acids provide tartness but it’s not starkly sour like the previous two in the serious. Tight carbonation, strong attenuation but still a soft, substantial body. Light hay, wheat, vanilla, honey and blueberry juice/skin notes linger on the finish. It’s few and far between the number of great blueberry beers out there and this is certainly near the top, IMO.

Bottle. Pours hazy magenta, small off-white pink head, dissipates quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is funky, cheesy, berries, oak. Flavor is full on cheesy funk, medium tart, berries present but not dominant, oak tannin. Permeated by a bit of light acetone note. Medium body.

Bomber shared at a tasting, I’m pretty surprised to be the first person rating this. Pouring like a grape Kool Aid in color, it has a jammy grape and sour pickle aroma. Light bodied and very sour, acidic, pickle, dry with minimal blueberry. Good stuff but I want more fruit flavor.
