Once the dock-hands, porters and longshoremen loved to indulge in the darkest and strongest beer available - stout. This beer is inspired by labor - an all in oatmeal stout with a silky mouthfeel and distinct roasted malt taste.

Smell - weak, some roast, chocolate, dark coffee, interesting. Foam - medium to thick side, some roast notes to sides of tongue, gets huge in mouth. Generally large, coffee medium dark brown color. Appearance - very dark brown, almost cant see through. Taste - dark chocolate, roast, chocolate bitterness, some caramel sweetness, not bad.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Initially rather cautious, roasty dark malty aroma, only echoes of coffee and dark chocolate, the primary grainy substance remains, very cautious overtones of tar and smoke, blueberry and metal - later somehow more present, undisguised, with toffee and caramel support. Taste is roasty dark malty, tarry hints of a dark chocolate and blueberry amalgamation, minimally metallic hop bitterness. Full body, creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft palate. Quite beefy. If "Baltic Stout" was a sub-class of the Foreign / Extra Stout category - I would put it there. Try it - it's definitely underrated.

Pours dark brown, bit of foam. Nose a bit chalky, dry roast. Taste is sweetish malty at first then berry jam kicks in, raspberry comes out. Nice jammy stout and really digging it at the end.
