Cask at Picture House, Stafford A zest of lemon in the nose. Pours a golden yellow with a strong white head, and is slow to clear. Fruits in the mouth, orange and mango with a contrasting hint of cornflakes. Finish is fruity with mango predominating. Nothing special – I don’t like mango !

Cask at the Jubilee Oak (JDW), Crawley. Straw with a tight cream head; floral aroma; soapy texture, with a floral taste and a sweet grainy body; then lightly bitter with a sweet biscuity finish. Rather subdued.

Cask handpump at Penny Black JDW Saturday 22nd August 2015 Pours gold in colour with lovely clarity a few bubbles cling to the side. Fruity with a soft edge not a lot of bitterness. A tad plodding and pedestrian for Green Jack, I was taken in by the pumpclip image, I love Waxwings. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, decent bubbly white head. Palate is light and semi dry with good fine carbonation. Light pale malts. Mild marmalade. Little fresh orange and orange peel. Mild floral bitterness. Light dry finish. Pleasingly citric.

7th July 2015: hand-pulled cask half-pint in the Square Peg, a Wetherspoon pub in Birmingham. Amber with a white head of large bubbles. Blend of citrusy hops and light biscuit maltiness. Decent enough although there is nothing to set it apart from so many other similar beers currently available in the UK.
