12 oz. bottle from a trade with Adrien. Fast dying tan head on a raven feather black. Aroma is mild Captain Morgan’s rum, chocolate, and mild molasses.
The rum barrel is very forward but does not completely overrun the stout. Thick, full mouthfeel with a mild alcohol burn after the sip. It is like drinking a chocolate brownie dipped in Captain Morgan’s rum. It almost gets to sweet but the rum barrel treatment did wonders for the base stout.

Pours pitch black with a small tan head of foam.
Smell is bitter sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee.
Tastes bitter sweet as well. Lots of sweet chocolate balanced by bitter roasted malt and again, some light coffee.
Full bodied. Strong as hell but the abv is hidden well.

Minnesota Trip Beer #11. Keg at Republic, 5/7/16. Pitch black, tall creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of rum, roasted malt, chocolate, leather. The taste is vanilla, rum, chocolate, roasted malts. Medium-full bodied, low carbonation, well balanced, booze well hidden. Nice.

Draft/Fest. A- Roasty, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Cocoa, malty, roasty. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- A tad underwhelming to say the least. Pretty average and no rum that I can tell. It was good but it should have been a lot more complex.

On tap at Black Friday. Starts off very smooth and sneaks up on you, kicks in late, burns once it hits the gut. Quiet and unassuming, but quite potent. Mild aroma leads into bigger taste. Big finish.

Growler, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out notes of bourbon barrels, roast and cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with cocoa, vanilla, bourbon barrels and roast in harmony. Really nice stuff. Cohesive and very drinkable.

On Tap very sweet and boozy dark roasty aroma. Smooth and slick toffee, marshmallow and milk chocolate flavors. The closest to a candy bar I’ve had. Very tasty sweet RIS. Boozy Shocked at the 13% ABV Delicious !

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out black as ink topped with a nice nice tan head. Nose is very nice roast malts chocolate malts vanilla cocoa barrel marshmallow fluff and some hop notes. Taste is great thick rich roast malts chocolate coffee vanilla barrel notes marshmallow. Nice
