Dry-hopped Weizen Bock-style wheat beer, the Dolden Bock is orange-colored with creamy foam. The aromas are sweet, ripe fruit (banana) and yeast. On the palate the scents are well balanced between the fruity notes and the more floral and herbaceous notes given by hops.

Bottle from Beerwulf. Aroma is ripe banana with sweetish malt, spicy yeast, caramel, ripe fruits including citrus, bready wheat, some clove. Flavour is pretty sweet with a light bitterness. Ripe and sweet, yeast and spicy. Not bad.

Hazy dark amber, white foam. Nose of banana, potpourri, caramel, some citrus. Rather sweet and perfumy.

33cl bottle from REWE Steidel - Nittendorf. Head is medium, tan, average retention. Colour is coppery, hazy. Aroma is malty, caramel, bit berries. Taste is full malty base, bready, berries, herbal, strawberries, spicy, bit harsh bitterness, medium carbonation, nothing really special here, enjoyed yet hopped for more balanc.

Optisch trüb, leichtes Sediment. In der Nase sehr fruchtig, Beeren, Zitrus. Im Trunk ein sehr fruchtiger Bock, rote Grütze, Beeren, recht süffig.

330ml bottle from In Pivo Veritas in Moscow. Aroma is cloves, rotten/overripe banana, mint sweets. Taste is medium sweet, wheat, cloves, banana, mint sweets. Light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Strange sort of weizenbock, feels stale.

Farblich an der Grenze zwischen hellem und dunklen Weizenbock. Auf alle Fälle herrlich trübe Farbe. Angabe zur Stammwürze finde ich keine, aber bei dem Alkoholgehalt (7,9 %) kann das nur ein Doppelbock sein (also mit mind. 18 % Stammwürze). Sehr hopfig aromatischer Geruch. Geschmacklich spielt der Hopfen ebenfalls eine große, aber nicht mehr so dominante Rolle. Man findet ein Potpourri vergorene Früchte, plus Noten von frischer Maracuja, Aprikose und Spuren von Pomelo. Den hohen Alkoholgehalt schmeckt man deutlich - stört aber auch nicht. Schöne Konsistenz. Ein hoch anständiger und sehr aromatischer Weizenbock. Und Bio ist das ganze dann sogar außerdem noch. Well done, Riedenburger.
