0,33 l bottle from Dehlwisch, Lohne. Pitch black in the glass, with a more than one finger foamy steady pale beige head. Looks really good. Smooth choco and malt aroma. Taste starts roasty malt with choco, present bitter hop in the second row. Hints of berry fruits. Little bit alcoholic. Below average carbonated. Nice one.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Sunday 9th April listening to HiFi Sean and David McAlmont - Happy Ending we had Luzerner Chügeli-Pastete for tea and very pleased we were with it. Pours dark brown edging towards black with a light beige head. Roasty malts and then there is a little toffee and caramel, some sweetness, nice beer, solid, enjoying this.

Bottle. Color: Murky brown, thin beige head. Aroma: Dark malt. Taste: Dark malt, notes of roasted malt. Hints of chocolate. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Quite soft mouthfeel. Hoppy hints. Light to moderate sweet, light bitterness. Lightly sticky. One of the least Baltic Porters I've had. Nice try, but only few German breweries seem to be able to brew non tradition German beerstyles.

Dark brown with a creamy, beige head that lingers. Aroma of dark chocolate, stale grains, hints of ink. All of it subdued. Taste is bitter, a mix of bitter chocolate and sweet oats burnt bitter. Body is medium, carbonation mild, texture mildly watery. I’d prefer a little more chewiness with a beer of this style. Drinkable.

Pours very dark with a quickly disappearing tan head. Not bad nose: caramel, vanilla, blackcurrants, hint of spearmint, chocolate. Sweet coffee in the mouth, hints of berries, malty. Hoppy and coffee lingering aftertaste. Bit too carbonated for my taste and not smooth enough. But not a bad attempt.

30-01-20 // taster from a 330ml bottle at KKR Mainz. Pours almost black but quite clear. No at a big head. Nose of darker roasted malts. Light bodied, to thin for me. Dark roasted and toasted malts. A little ashy rustiness. Lower sweetness. Bitter choc.
