Well stored bottle, tasted November 2022. Pitch black body under a moderate sized beige head. Aroma has dark malt, vanilla and coffee. Taste is super smooth, soft dark malt, medium sweet, coffee, dark chocolate, balanced bitterness and mils, warming alcohol. Fine body with long lasing aftertaste. Solid, smooth and very nice indeed.

Bottled 16NOV17. Pours black, good thickness, little head of brown foam. Smells oldschool roasty. Great smooth and thick mouthfeel, some efficient carbonation. Taste is heavy, roasty, bitter, pretty licorice-forward. The way classic stouts should be.

F: big, dark tanned, good retention. C: black, opaque. A: chocolate, cocoa, dark dried fruits, coffee, oats, vanilla touch, bit vinous. T: chocolate, roasted tones, cocoa, dry on the palate, long lasting prominent bitterness, coffee, charcoal, caramel, dark fruits, rich full body, lower carbonation, very nice balanced, bit too much coffee roasted tones here yet enjoyable for sure, 33cl bottle (bottled 16/11/17) from Malt Attacks in Brussels.
