Ein besonderer Anlass braucht ein besonderes Bier
Zum 200. Geburtstag der Gründung des Königreichs Bayern durch Max I. Joseph haben wir getreu dem bayerischen Reinheitsgebot ein Exportbier gebraut. Max I. Joseph war es auch, der 1817 erster Wittelsbacher Brauherr in Tegernsee wurde. Das Brauhaus Tegernsee ist bis heute im Herzoglichen Familienbesitz.

Bottle (thanks marduk). Pours yellow with whiteish head. Aroma is cardboard, grains, butter. Flavor is sweet and bitter, butter, grains, malt. Body is watery. Overall: bad.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Pale gold. Clear as a bell. Thin, very sticky, bright white head. Looks great. Grassy hop. Sugar cane malts. Leafy and a tad spicy. Taste has bready sweetness. Some leafy bitterness. Fairly clean. Could be a bit more crisp, maybe. Gets a little sweet toward the end. Ok.

500ml bottle from Beer Gonzo. Pours clear gold, full foamy white head. Aroma is bready malts. Taste is smooth, lightly sweet malts, bready with a low bitterness. Easy-drinking Dortmunder with a nice strength to back up that smooth character.

On tap @ Tegernseer Tal, Starkbierzeit 2016. Karcosabb, ez már nehezebben csúszik. Hideg nagyon, büdős ízű, erős hell. Szép világossárga.

Pours gold from the bottle with a frothy white head. The aroma is malty with grassy hops undertones and a sweet twist of honey. Quite inviting. The taste is white bread and lots of it, and trends sour on the finish. Very little discernable bitterness. An unfortunate metallic note creeps in near the end, but remains faint. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. A decent offering.

Many thanks for this bottle to kevnic2008. Piwo o ladnej i zaokraglonej piance ponad szklanice. Jest trwala, kolor zlocisty i przejzysty. Zapach slodowy, w smaku nieco za slodkawe, jak dla mnie i slodowosc tez zbyt dominujaca. Za malo kontry w postaci goryczki, niewielka byla ale ledwo wyczuwalna. Ogolnie dobre piwo ale nie to czego sie spodziewalem

500ml bottle. Pours light gold with a medium head. Aroma is sweet and grassy with a touch of lime. Taste is straw to start with a bitter, grassy finish.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear straw yellow pour with a massive light fluffy white head, light fruit aroma, lemon taste with hints of malt, smooth carbonation.

Sehr hellgelb im Glas, hopfig-frischer Geruch. Der Antrunk ist wässrig-würzig – ganz im Gegenteil zum Geruch. Der Hauptteil bessert sich ein klein Wenig, der stark wässrige Unterton bleibt allerdings erhalten. Darüber entfaltet sich eine leicht würzig-süßliche Note, die aber einen stark brotigen Anklang hat. Der Nachgeschmack ist auch nicht viel besser – relativ wässrig mit einer dazu kommenden muffig-feinherben Note.
