330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, dark ruby colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow, minimally nutty, caramel malty and minimally fruity aroma, notes of caramel, some nougat, a touch of malt lozenge and cherry. Taste is sweet-ish, slightly nutty, caramel malty and minimally chocolately, dark malty, notes of caramel and nougat, malt lozenge, mildly bitter hoppy overtones with a fruity touch of cherry.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and slightly dry palate, medium, dense, prickly carbonation.
Nice maltiness, good balance - decent.

31-12-19 // 330ml bottle thanks to erzengel. Saarland Landbier Battle. Clear. Darker golden. Darker than the Grosswald. Solid head building and retention. Nose has some mild caramel. Taste is smooth malty. More on the sweeter side but okay. Light caramel with roasted touches. Low bitterness. No hop aromas. Solid.

Bruch LandBier, Fläschchen von Erzengel. - Kupferrotbraun, klar. Muffig-ranziger, blecherner Nachtrunk. - Billig gemachtes Bierchen, kaum trinkbar. Dieses alte Braurezept gehört in die Tonne!
