We’ve developed many IPA recipes in our R&D program, but right from the tank, our Manta Ray Double IPA was a winner. Aromas of fresh, citrusy tangerine, melon and light pine leap from the beer and linger over a smooth finish. Like its namesake, this brew can sneak up on you – a big beer without a bite.

From tap at Olrepubliken, Goteborg. Clear golden color with off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, caramel, bread, pine, citrusy fruity, tropical fruity notes too. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle. A- Overripe fruit, pineapple, melon, dank, grassy. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Rotten pineapple, slighty bitter, dank, melon, juicy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Really tasty. Hardly bitter for a DIPA. My bottle was not near as fresh as it could have been and that certainly didn't help it, but still good stuff.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is clear yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is pine, herbs, citrus, candied sugar. Taste is pine, tropical fruit, citrus, earthy resin, mild alcohol. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter finish. Overall, a decent amount of complexity working well together with a nice balance of sweet and bitter. Nice.

12.08.2017, 0,35l bottle sampled @ Bryggeriet:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, wet leafs, wet grass, caramel malts, citrus peel, weeds, hay, flowers, light malts, moss, minerals. Taste is slightly dry and harsh grassy, weeds, harsh citrus peel, minerals, old leafs, bark, paper, harsh hops, dried grain, soil, alcohol, hints of medicine. Longlasting dry bitterness, slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

12 oz bottle from work. Aroma is melon, apricot, orange creamsicle, faint sweet onion . Pours nearly clear golden with a one finger white head with decent retention and some lace. Taste is mildly bitter with some malt sweetness and lots of juicy fruit flavor; a hint of numbing menthol. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Pretty good.

Hazy yellow. Bitter, light spicy hop with a touch of weediness. Malts are mostly pale. Good balance, but did I have this fresh enough - I think this should be better.
