We’ve developed many IPA recipes in our R&D program, but right from the tank, our Manta Ray Double IPA was a winner. Aromas of fresh, citrusy tangerine, melon and light pine leap from the beer and linger over a smooth finish. Like its namesake, this brew can sneak up on you – a big beer without a bite.

Tap at Before 9. Estery nose, peach, nectarine, oranges. Cloudy orange gold color. Sweet and fruity flavor, some tropical fruit. Full body which works with the low carbonation on this one.

Bottle from Craftissimo at home after Clockenflap 2017. Clear golden yellow pour with dense white foam head. Aroma is tangerine, pineapple, dank hops. Crisp malt. Taste is dank pine and citrus hops with sweet cereal malt. Smooth palate. Sharp bitterness. Better than expected. Pretty good would probably get again.

12 oz bottle from Albertson's San Marcos, at temporary home. Clear golden color. White head with retention. Aroma's: big resin and citrus, light malt. Retronasal it's big citrus, a bit less resin, hoppy sourness, light malty sweetness. Flavor is above moderate bitter with a light malty backbone. Medium bodied. Long bitter finish, somewhat earthy and citrussy. Very nice!
