Keg at BrewDog Waterloo, 27/04/23. Light reddish pink with a lasting crimson cap. Nose is pink berry sherbets, damp straw, perfume, lemon nip, balsa wood. Taste comprises red berry skins, damp straw, berry sherbets, light funk, lemon rind, hedgerow, berry pips. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a balanced puckering bite. Decent enough refresher.

Keg at Three Johns. If pours hazy deep pink - ruby with a small, but sturdy off - white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, perfumed, rose candy, raspberry, strawberry, victoria sponge cake, fizzy candy, sherbet and Eton mess. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, puckering, some granny Smith apple acidity, dryness, crunchy, raspberry, strawberry, sherbet, tangfastics, lemon peel and fizzy cola bottles with a dry finish. Light body and moderate, fizzy carbonation. Simple, but quenching sour.

Can: Poured a ruby red with a pinkish white whispery head. Aroma is a bouquet of berries, raspberry, blackberry, cherry, jammy. Taste is light tart forward, then those berries come in, jammy, cherry, hibiscus floral, juicy. Don't really get the saltiness from the label, but that doesn't detract from this beer.

Keg at the Foxglove, Islington. Magenta and hazy with a pinkish white head. Berry-laden aroma, its a light scent and hard to get much else. Taste is tart rather than full-on sour, and ots hard to detect the salty kickback I get from the best goses. Long, bitter/sour finish with more berry notes in the finish. Heavy carbonation. Not a bad beer but neither is it up there with the top of its style.

Keg at The Rake, Borough. Pulpy berry aroma. Tart berry. Low key saltiness. Ruby red haziness. Thin frothy pink blotchy head. Fruity berry uber sourness. Uber sourness, I said. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. My manager ordered pints so only two of us finished it - it was enjoyable if uber tart.

330ml can. Poured a medium red colour with a short-lived fizzy pink head. The aroma is cherries, blackberries, raspberries, light yeast. The flavour is moderate sour and sweet, with a light, crisp, slightly tart red berry fruit, light salty palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not too sour and a fine beer for a hot summer evening.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Clapton Craft online. Pours mostly clear red with a slight, foamy topping. Quite tasty, lots of juicy raspberry, cherry, a light lactic tang, some citric bite, salt. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Tart, clean finish, more jammy raspberry, subtle seedy bitterness, more salty notes. Solid.
