It's clear that every day comes with its share of hardships, but from time to time there are those special holidays where everything stressful seems to go away.

For instance: Pretzel Day, which brings the joys of indulging oneself in mountains of salty knots of baked bread all day long, watered down with the most refreshing of lagers.

We don't agree with such rigid cultural practices. We think certain days are strictly what you want to make of them, and everyone's free to have his pretzel and his pilsener without restraint.

Come to think of it, the mighty pretzel is shaped exactly as an infinite loop. That has to mean something.

# 4898; 2/2026. Vague malty, bready and light cellar aroma. Brilliant gold body, persistent white head. Malty, herbal, light celery. Medium body, medium carbonation, worse drinkability. Worse pilsner. 0,4 l, draught, taproom, Bucharest.

Draft at Hop Hooligans in Bucharest. Gold with a frothy, white head. Herbal, grassy aroma with corn husk undertones. Bitter and grainy, lingering grassy. Not particularly refreshing.

Can from Mr. Hop. Aroma is grassy hop, grainy malt, hay, citrussy notes including a little lemon. Light to moderate sweet flavour with a moderate bitterness. Medium body. Good Pilsener, grassy noble hops really shine. If this had been a little less sweet this could have been major league.

0.5 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before July 2025. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral and quite grassy aroma of lemon peel, fresh grass, some grains and hints of white pepper. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral and slightly grassy taste of grains, lemon peel, some fresh grass and a touch of white pepper, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Good Pils, just a bit too sweet.

Can at Drinkøteka. Hazy yellow-golden body, thick off-white head. Floral aroma, oxidized sweetish maltiness, light DMS. Vegetal, soapy, huge DMS, sweet taste, ending dry, not many redeeming features. Eh. If this was great in the summer, it's not now.
