Aged sample Shortlived yellow head, fast reduced to rim over fully hazy foxy orange-amber beer. Oxydation in the nose, preserved oranges, sweet dessert wine, fusels. Oxydation less obvious if still present orally. Again preserved oranges, liqueurish with even a fine point of bitterness as in an orange liqueur or orangesauce with kumquats. Feels rather well-bodied, quite slick - again a liqueurish feel. Nice, even sophisticated despite its age and relative low ABV. Txs to Stef!

Bottle from local Asda. Has a fairly strong aroma of hops and oranges. Pours a golden ornage with pretty minimal white head. Some juicy fruit in the mouth, oranges again mianly. But bitterness of hops is stronger, and is the lasting impression. Finish is dry and bittere. Not as good as Old Tom, but certainly one of the better Robinsons beers. [ NB I think it’s an IPA – have asked Admin to change the style ]

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy, to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Rather weak, slightly biscuity, pale malty and citrusy, minimally herbal and floral, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, a touch of nettle, whiffs of chamomile. Taste is slightly bitter, herbal and minimally citrusy hoppy, minimally biscuity pale and caramel malty basis with little residual sweetness, hints of lemon, a touch of nettle. Watery texture, minimally hard palate (hard water). Nice, harmonious composition - but too weak, anaemic overall.

Gold with a thin, creamy head. Aroma a touch floral, a touch of bubble gum, but also ladened with hints of old shoe and rubbing alcohol. Taste has a weird sour and citric bitterness which is doing little to win me over. Finish is citric to metallic. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Not good.

Pours to a dark straw colour, completely clear with a good persistent head. Not very intensive nose: floral and grassy. Malty, sweetish up front, then a good hit of piney hops in the middle. Dry, bitter after taste. Slight undertones of orange. Ok

Bottle at home picked up from tesco. A deep orange amber coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is swet, chewy caramel, dusty, little oxidised, chewy, toffee. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, waxy, chewy caramel, dried fruit, raisin loaf, dusty. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carboantion. Best before Apr 2018. A bit fucked.
