After 10 years, our Christmas brew is as sprightly as ever and still avoiding the chop! Pale and crystal malts combine with British Bramling Cross hops to give a pale golden, moderately bitter beer with a spicy hop finish. A hint of cranberry may even be detected!

Two hand-pulled pints on 9th Dec 2018 at The Park, Wellington, Shropshire (my nearest pub). Clear golden pour, snow white crown on top. Citrus notes in both the nose and taste, light more than heavy; mild malty sweetness in the flavour balances out the citrus bitterness nicely. Decent, but not very 'Christmassy'.

Clear yellow with bright white head. Pale malts and light citrus in aroma and flavour. Smooth and easy to drink ale. Not particularly Christmassy.

Cask @ The Aire, Leeds. Golden with a cream head. Has a light malty bitterness with hops just dominating this, and an easy to drink texture. Citrus us apparent.

Cask at the Euston Tap. Pours clear, rich gold with a cloud-like, creamy white head. Nose of butter, bread, straw and crackers. Lovely flavor, brilliantly balanced. Sweet cracker malts and light honey lend sweetness, then straw, light grass and lemon zest bitter things up a bit. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes nice and dry with further notes of crackery, leaf and straw hops and hints of citrus. This is just an incredibly drinkable and tasty beer. Well done, Ossett.

Cask at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 09-12-09 Pours warm gold with a white head. The bitterness is quite raspy, pithy and with a grapefruit being the most noticeable fruit in what is clearly quite a citrus flavour, furry bitterness on roof of mouth. Starts sweet but ending quite dry a good beer all round. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13
