17th February 2016
Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival at KEGS. Cask. Clear amber beer, a few lonely pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is light, semi dry. Modest carbonation. Light caramel malts. Mild ripe fruits, little orange peel. Light semi dry finish. Somewhat muted.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs Beer Festival 2016. Deep red not much head. Some sulphur on the aroma improves as the sweet malt kicks in and light white pepper hop. Apart from the aggressive aroma the rest of the beer settles down into an ok English strong. Quite dry finish.

Red brown appearance. Caramel and red fruit in aroma and flavour. Smooth, sessionable but jolly bitter.

Cask @ Sir Titus Salt, Bradford. Clear amber-brown with an off-white frothy head. Has some light, crisp malts throughout its character with a medium bitterness at best. It doesn’t feel its strength.

Tried at the Deepings Beer Festival. Reddish Amber colour with a white head. Fruity hop aroma and taste. Ok
