Legend has it that when the North Laine brewhouse ordered an excess of mango, the brewer decided to conduct a crazy experiment – and the result was crazily good. Now we just needed a name for the perky pale ale he created. Made from mango, and delicious – hmmm…

Keg pint at The Tempest, Brighton. Pours hazed yellow gold with a white head. Aroma: sweet, mango puree, passion fruit. The taste is similar but the mango is very synthetic & artificial. Moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium body with tight carbonation. Meh.

17/7/2020. Can at the Woolpack, Ipswich. Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a small white head. Aroma is mango and passion fruit, but rather artificial. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation.

[33cl can from Waitrose, Bracknell.] A hazy amber pour with a thick cream coloured head; tropical fruit aroma; mango taste, slightly tart and under ripe; then a grassy bitterness and a creamy finish.

330ml can from Waitrose Newport, Shropshire. Summer party box. Pours hazed Amber, solid pillow of off white foam. Aroma is fruity enough, pleasant mango. Taste has lovely mango shades, nice light and sessionable. Decent stuff.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral and fruity, mango and malts. Moderate to sweet fruity taste, the mango is present but not overpowering and there is a sweet malt base. Some citrus bitterness in the finish.

Clear golden colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of sweet mango and passion fruit as promised. There's a little bitterness in the aftertaste.

Die Mango kommt voll durch, fast schon etwas zu derb. Mittig dann trocken, hinten bitter. Astrein für 4.7%. Perfekt für den Sommer oder als Dessert.
