2016 vintage 330ml bottle brought in a Dornbirn supermarket in June 2017 on my multi country road trip, cellared since in Jersey. Pours a clear brown with a small white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, brown sugar, raisins, toffee, dark fruits, bread, nuts, hints of syrup & hints of alcohol. Medium body. Well balanced throughout. Long lingering sweet mildly alcohol finish. Very enjoyable & far better than I expected with the high alcohol reasonably well hidden

I'm a little sleepy, so let's do a 14%.

330 ml 2016 bottle. Unclear brown, small head. Brown sugar, caramel, overripe pear, cognac, wood barrels. Malty sweetness with a dry hint. Full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, sweet finish. Abv of 14% well hidden, quite smooth. Good!

330ml bottle at home, 2016 version. Pours clear dark brown with an off white head. Aroma: caramel, raisins, sherry. Taste: heavy sweet, dark fruits, prunes, toffee, brown sugar. Medium bodied, light carb, sweet liqueur like finish. Not hugely boozy given the lofty ABV, thought it was nicely balanced overall
