Bottle at le mondiale 2011. Deep murky brown pour, next to ne head. Dark boozy, spicy aroma. Caramel, plums, nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, and some licorice. The malt is thick and chewy, and quite sticky. Heavy body, viscous, and rich. Sweet caramel finish with a dark deep nutty boozy aftertaste. Quite an experience!

Pours a clear deep ruby brown body and a small beige head with fairly good retention. Aroma's: sweet, red fruit, caramel, old-ish. Retronasal it's sweet, old-ish (or matured), herbal, fruity. Flavor is above moderate sweet with light bitterness. Above medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Warming alcohol. Finishes with increasing bitterness. Happy to conclude this is still a beautiful beer.
