Bottle at home picked up from Mitchell's Wines. A clear copper brown coloured pour with a fine loose greyish beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty, twiggy malts, autumn leaves, leafy hop. Flavour is composed of dryish nutty malts, twig, little rusty penny, mineral, drying finish. Palate is drying, crisp, highish spritzy carbonation. Ok.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a dark ruby with brownish hints. Has a small cream head with good lacing. Malts and cream in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with a creamy texture. There’s a fair sprinkling of traditional hops in the flavour, plus hints of ginger. Later some fruitiness, caramel and malts can be detected. Finish is quite bitter. Pretty decent, though I would call it more a bitter than a brown ale.
