A rich deep chestnut coloured ale, with a beautifully smooth creamy head. A citrus aftertaste gives way to a long dry finish. Subtitled Brown Swiss.

Cask (Gravity) at Charlbury Beer festival 04-07-09 Pours amber/brown great clarity no head but possibly one of the best looking beers of the day when there were quite a few with a touch of haze. There is a touch of syrupy sweetness in this maybe honey as well, its malty, little perfumey, fruity, not bad. A6 A5 F6 P4 Ov12 3.3

Cask at GBBF 2006. A pale brown beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet nutty combined with light citrusy notes. The flavor is sweet nutty combined with light notes of metal, leading to a very dry and nutty end.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 3 Aug) Colour is dark amber with white foamy head. Nose is malty and nutty with notes of plums and a modest hop aroma. Taste is malty and nutty with dried fruit and a dry, spicey hop character in the finish. An ok brown ale, but on the modest side.

Cask at GBBF 2006. Chestnut colour with lasting bubbly beige head. Not a huge aroma, some yeast, dry fruit malt in mouth. Fine. Needs more flavour, but malts are ok.
