Knowle Spring is a full-bodied blonde beer brewed with Golden Promise barley malt, Strisselspalt hops from Alsace, and UK-grown Minstrel, Cascade and Chinook hops. It’s an easy-drinking beer with floral and grapefruit aromas, spiced orange on the tongue followed by aromatic citrus hop flavours to finish.

Handpull cask at the Geldart, Cambridge. Brownish gold, clear, with very little head. Light aroma with some toffee, floral and bubblegum notes. Tastes pretty bitter and messy with notes of crabapple and a lot of papery grain. Finish is slightly less harsh, but there are none of the flavours promised in the aroma. Not poor but definitely below what I’d expect from such a respected brewer.

Cask. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, straw, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, butter, straw, and flowers, leading to a bitter finish.

Cask@Charlies Bar, Copenhagen - golden pour with white head. Sweet bready malty and light fruity, some lemon citrus nuance, grassy hoppy light bitter into the close.

Cask pint on 9th April 2017: Woolly Sheep, Skipton. As the name suggests, light golden blonde in colour, clean and clear, the head an fluffy white affair. Citrus fruits rule both the nose and taste, lemons and grapefruit on the tart side and oranges giving the sweeter notes. Not really my thing, but any new TT beer has to be tried.
