Bottle sample at Ariel’s farewell tasting at Max’s place. Thanks troubles. Dark brown to black. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, roast, toast, nuts. Sweetish flavor with roast, chocolate, nuts, a bit of caramel, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle, 7%. The aroma is refreshingly hoppy, has ashy notes as well as piney hop notes. Black colour, seems clear with a red shine. Big stable creamy light brown head. The flavour is roasted with a hint of smoke. Quite roasted, has some barley bitterness. The bitterness is a little rough, but the piney hops seem to balance it off a bit.

Bottle @ The Unholy Trinity Meets Again, Sønderborg. Pours hazy very dark brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of roast and caramel malt, with notes of coffee and liquorice. Bitter, hoppy and roasty flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and hints of liquorice. Touches of coffee beans. Roasty and bitter aftertaste. Rather non-aggresisve for the style but decent.

330ml bottle from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham. Dark rich black colour with thick creMy tan head. The aroma has all you’d expect tasted malt, coffee, chocolate. They are in the taste too, but just a touch light and watery.

Bottle with expiry in September 2015. Blak colour, white frothy head with fair lacing, lasts quite long. Nose: dark chocolate, wine, resin, floral, for a moment even gooseberry. Mouth: intensive floral, then resin, dark chocolate; no ash. Medium bitterness. Medium body - the beer feels quite light for an imperial stout. Good one.

BOTTLE 33 CL from dcmchew. Thanks!

Look: almost opaque black, beige frothy head.
Aroma: hops, tropical fruit, dried fruit, some vanilla and licorice, very light roast for a stout.
Taste: citrus tropical fruit hops on a moderately roasty and fruity black malt foundation, solid bitter finish. Quite a hop-accented stout.
