Draught (@Three Legged Mare, York): Deep golden, very stable and lacy off-white head; sweet - a bit sherry-loke - woody nose, raisins included; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, almost medium-bodied; increasing and lingering bitterness in the warming fruity-malty finish. Very good.....

Cask, Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Mid brown sorta colour with a thin off white head. Restrained sweet malt aroma, with a slight fruitiness. Similar yarn flavour wise. Quite fresh, with some hops kicking in towards the dryish bitter finish. All in all fairly drinkable, not sure if it was Smithy’s fault about the iceberg thing though ?

Cask, half at The White Star. Deep dark amber with a russet tint topped by a film-type, off-white head and with solid laceworks on the glass. Dry and dark malty aroma. The flavour brings dark fruits mixed with caramel malts. Finish with bitter dark fruits. Well-bodied and pleasant (Stoke on Trent, 02.05.2009).

Bottle, 5.2%. OK bready aroma. Hazy copper colour. No head. The flavour is slightly old bread, a bit of paper. Not unpleasant, but a bit strange. High carbonation.
