Tap @ Wildeman, tasted next to the Barbera Barrel Aged version. Almost black. Vinous with laurel and bretty notes in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty flavor, vinous. Dry finish with laurel. Møre mellow as the Barbera, but getting stricter as time passes. Bretty sourness towards the end.

Interesting! Smell is bretty, tart wine. Taste is so complex. First up tart wine, turning bitter into your mouth before disappearing in a cloud of toffee. Dry, bitter and straw-like aftertaste. Pretty unique, a bit weird, but very tasty. Overcarbonated..

Bottle. Color: Dark reddish brown, off-white head. Aroma: Sweetish and sourish, vinuous notes, red fruit. Taste: Moderate to medium sweet, moderate sour, malt, dried dark red fruit. Brett notes. Light hints of raisins, red wine notes (Pinot Noir). Hints of wood and bread and slightly boozy hints. Medium body, below average carbonation. Quite nice. I think it is interesting to know the story about it on https://www.marblebeers.com/prize-old-ale/ to fully understand and appreciate.
