500ml bottle into a stemmed tulip (Budweiser Budvar badged, to make it feel at home) on 5th Dec 2015. Golden, bright and clean body, snow white topping. Corn in the semi-sweet aroma, taste similar, grainy and on the sweet side. This is OK unless you prefer the hop laden Pilsners.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s, Salford. Slightly paler golden colour with a very thin head. Pilsner with a light character, malt nose and fairly easy drinking texture.

Herb-süßer Antrunk. Dabei verstärkt sich unpassenderweise die Süße, wenig Hopfen. Spritzig. Trinkbar. 9/10/10/9/9/9

50cl bottle. Amber with a loose white head - quite highly carbonated; fresh, grassy aroma; crisp malty flavour - typically Pilsner-style; and a lightly bitter spritzy finish with some honeyed sweetness. Excellent value for money.

Deep gold with moderate carbonation and a frothy white head. Light, slightly sweet cereal aroma with a herbal edge. More malts in the flavour with some herbal and peppery notes leading to a soft finish. Fine.

500ml bottle. Pours orange gold with a thin head. Aroma is faint, touch of grassy bitter hop. Taste has some Saaz, quite grassy. Ok for a cheap supermarket lager.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys funnily enough. Clear deepish gold with a lasting white head. Touch of boring malt on the aroma and touch of hop. Hops on the finish are decent enough. I like this type of pilsner. Easy enough to drink and no real bad flavours. Touch metallic, but otherwise a decent bohemian pils
