Bottle at Chriso. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, resinous, grapefruit, lemon balm and sponge cake. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, grapefruit, pithy, resinous, lemon peel and a touch of spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not too bad.

50cl bottle from Aldi, Bracknell. A pale amber pour with a tight cream coloured head; grapefruit aroma; others have described the taste as custard and I have to agree - an intriguing blend of custard and grapefruit; followed by a pleasant bitter citrus finish. Interesting.

Bottle at home from Tesco. A fruity, surprisingly rich and very smooth English and new word hybrid pale ale. Very tasty, but I preferred the Venus & Mars from the previous night.

Bottle from Tesco. Deep gold in colour, with next to no head. Some citrus notes, a vague spiciness, crisp malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.
