Our emblematic gnome rambles across the mountains in all seasons, summer and winter alike. With his stick and his mammoth waistcoat, he regularly climbs the 6666 meters up Mt CHOUFFE, to breathe in the fresh air of the perpetually snow-covered peaks.
Once he reaches the summit, he likes to pour himself a Chouffe and admire the view.
"Grouff, grouff ?" an inquisitive, shaggy-haired yeti, recognising the sound of beer being poured, approached timidly. "Chouffe ! ... not Grouff !" Marcel told him. The white landscape inspired Marcel to call his new beer, which is so refreshing, smooth and spicy: Chouffe Blanche!

Hazy dark yellow colour with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have the obvious clove note that is synonymous with their beers. Next to that soapy coriander and dusty notes. Too spicy for me.

33cl bottle from Comptoir des Fagnes beer store near Couvin in Belgium. F: medium, white, average retention. C: blonde, hazy. A: malty, wheat, coriander, bit bready, banana, bit clove, pear. T: medium malty base, wheat, coriander, banana, bit citrus, clove, pear, chamomile, medium carbonation, bit more on the sweet side so definitely I expected more here yet not bad, enjoyed still.

330ml bottle as part of a delivery from Sophie's Beer Store and drunk at home. Golden yellow, fairly hazy with a decent sized white head.fresh ground coriander on the nose, some dried grass, light notes of citrus. Sweet taste, some candy sugar and a bit of lemon zest, with some hoppy bitterness and a dry finish. Orange pulp and more coriander in the aftertaste. Light carbonation. Not bad.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, straw, and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus fruits, wheat, coriander, and malt, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle. Nose is banana, lemon, belgian yeast, fruity, hint of bubblegum. Taste is banana and bubble gum, wheat slight grain, leading to a floral, spiced finish with a hint of bitterness. It's really very nice.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a hazy light golden colour with a large throthy white head. Aromas of citrus fruits, bananas, coriander, floral and a hint of bubblegum. Taste has the same notes again with some added spice and lemon. Medium body, lively carbonation and a fresh fruity finish. Very nice Belgian White Beer.
