12 oz. can, yes, it's the IPA. Poured in a Solo cup, so I can't offer much about its appearance. Pleasant IPA smell, some tropical fruit and a bit of pine resin. Strong hop notes continue as I drink it. Low initial bitterness on the tongue, but feels like some dry hopping by American hops. Goes down nicely.

Can at home not sure why Ballast Point reused the name anyways just from grocer. Light orange pour frothy head. Nose is grapefruit and pine. Tastes of decent grapefruit, honey, pine, little granola. Chewy mouthfeel some malt. Fruity.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Hazy golden colour, generous head. Strong cereals aroma, resinous hops, bold but oldish. The mouthfeel is very dry, the body is quite weak, the malt base has a dry grass character, with a hint of chamomile; the hopping is resiny but not bright.
Decent West Coast IPA, possibly too old though.

Canned May 18. Clear orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma of oranges and sticky bread crust, some dried mango. Not exactly vibrant. Sweet with caramelised oranges and a moderate bitterness that struggles through with some resin sweeping over everything at the end. Dull.

Amber, chill haze. Thin head. Chewy malts and marmalade hops on the nose. Chewy, high alcohol, again piney, orange hops. Ok, a basic old school Cali IPA.

Taste is sweet, malty and caramely with some pine, resin, old grassy and herbal hops and toffee. Finish is sweet, malty and caramely with some pine, resin, grass and old herbal hops. Draught @ Malt&Mold. Clear light amber with large foamy off white head, faint mango-citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter piney taste, thin body, long finish. Nice west coast IPA; no frills.
