Vintage c. 2010/2012 (best before 2012). Quite sweet, some raw sugar, a bit of baked pear, nips of toasted biscuit. Delicate carbonation. Frankly it’s not all that bad.

500ml bottle from backstage at Thekla, Bristol. Only managed a sip of this before throwing away. Has a needlessly strong alcohol taste, sharp tart character and poisonously sweet pear taste. Hard to imagine people buying this and actually enjoying it.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with a small white sparkling head. Aroma is pear, mild sugar, some wood and mild apples as well. Flavour is being quite much sticky sweet perry along with some mild wood and some slight sour/tart notes.

Bottle at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Pale clear gold, lasting white head. Pear/apple pie aroma. Nto as sweet as I feared. But not much pear either. Apple/pear pie is what I get. Slightly sweet. Not a perry. Sweetish pear fruit iwht tart carbonation. Not offensive. Just lacks character. Did win over my prejudice though.
