Foggy yellow with zero head. Very faint wheat but a lot of citrus on the nose. Flavour is a heavy dose of breadiness with a slight lemon finish that’s slightly dry. Certainly it’s a drinkable hefeweizen, but hardly a memorable one.

Draught at the brewpub
Muddy blond color, dreadfully served with a wedge of orange. Saline water aroma. Light flavor, weak wheat, with a peculiar, light hazelnut touch; low bitterness. Easy but not totally bad.

Tap @ brewpub. Cloudy, light yellow orange appearance with a pearl white head. Strong clove and banana phenols, yeasty, wheat nose. Slightly spicy, bready, clove, light banana flavor.

On tap at Spinnaker’s, Victoria. Cloudy lemon gold colour with lasting white head. Bubblegummy lemon aroma. Lovely in mouth. Creamy wheat, lemon and bubblegum. Finish is slightly tart, great refreshing lemony Hefe. Great and rather delicate, rather than huge wheat.

Light cloudy beige colour. Very fluffy head. Sweaty aroma with light banana and clove undertones. Sweetish fare, with a bit of wheaty acidity in the finish and mere hints of banana. An exercise in restraint, which a hefe need not be.
