Intense and thick beginning. The Whiskey is there woody and intense. The beer itself is a typical barley-wine, sticky sweetish with plums but not too much fragrance. The whiskey and wood is dominating the picture, moderate sweetish whiskey-soaked wood in the aftertaste. Nice and interesting strong stuff.

330 ml bottle, batch 04/20, bb 12/2024. Dark copper-brown body, with a medium, creamy, beige head. Aroma of booze, whisky, toffee, chocolate, dried fruits, vanilla. Tastes very sweet, quite similar, with more honey. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes sweet, boozy, with whisky, toffee, honey, dried fruits, vanilla. Nice one, while not outstanding. The nose is interesting, with whisky and dark malt notes. Taste is much too sweet for my liking though. Probably my least favorite one from the series. Score: 7 / 4 / 6 / 3 / 14

0,33l from bottle at Stefans place, shared by Stefan big thanks. BB 13.12.2024. Brown color, small tan head. Smells of whisky, boozy, glue, vanilla. Decent smell, rather boozy. Full body, light carbonation. Tastes vanilla, whisky, boozy, some sweetness, bit jammy, plums, spices, dried fruits, marzipan. Finishes light to medium sweet with notes of dried fruits, marzipan and jammy notes. Nice one, but rather sweet and boozy, drinkable but heavy. 6,4,7,3,14
