Svart med brunt skum. Lukter solbær, trevirke. Smaker kirsebær, solbær og noe røk. Herlig syrlig i smak/munnølelse.

Fra 0,75 flaske på Mi2 Cardinal nov-20: brunsvart med beige skum som varte til siste lekre dråpe forsvant frydefullt over ganen. Solbær, sure kirsebær, dessertsjokolader med bringebærfyll, hint av lær. Superlekker, en usedvanlig raffinert øl. Kveldens beste.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with beige head. Aroma of red berries, dark chocolate, liquorice. Taste has sourness, saltiness, umami. Medium bodied, dry finish.

Aus der Flasche (bottled 07.01.2020 - bbe 11.12.2020) im 2020-06 getrunken. Dieses sour Stout erinnert an ein Mix von einen SourBrown Ale mit einen Stout. Hier treffen eine moderate Säure auf ein fruchtige Aroma was wirklich Johannesbeeren sein könnten auf eine schokoladige Note der Röstaromen. Diese Kombination fordert schon Aufmerksamkeit, so dass dieses Ale nicht ganz einfach zu genießen ist. Gut gemacht und sehr lecker ist es trotzdem, aber vielleicht hätten die Brauer doch zwei Biere machen sollen, die einzeln dann sicher noch besser gewesen wären.

Bottle, 75cl. An oily pour revealing a black beer under a small to non-existing dark beige head. The aroma gives expectation of a sour beer, with a good dash of funky wood, farmhouse and leather, in addition to roasted malts, a good dash of dried fruits and some licorice. Didn't notice the blackcurrant until I read on the label that it was to be expected. It feels a bit thin on the palate, especially for a beer this strentgh, with a decent carbonation level. Roasted malts, licorice, hints of chocolate and balsamic vinegar, dark dried fruits, prunes mostly, as well as woody, leathery funk and acidity. Lingering finish with funk and dark beer in a nice combo, but still, I'm not really convinced about this beer. Sure, it's a nice one, but it didn't really excite me. Judging from other ratings it seems I should source another bottle though. 200501

Big bottle shared with my girlfriend as a late birthday gift for her. Pours completely black with very little head. Aroma is dark malts, cherries, a bit funky. A distinct lambic/kriek aroma mixed with an Imperial stout. Big body, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is malty and slightly sweet, nice slight acidity. Slight bitterness, lots of cherry flavours, rich in a peculiar way. Nicely complex. Some underlying chocolate, but the funk and lambic notes really make this beer what it is. Amazing beer.

KØLF 070220. Black color with a tan head. Flavor is sourness, roasted malt, berries, alcohol, apple, yeast, black current, dried fruits, chocolate, licorice. Complex very nice beer.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter balsamico og mørke stenfrukter. Fyldig. Sur fruktig smak. Mørke sure bær, balsamico og syrlige grønne epler.
