In my past life, I did not think that temperature matters. How wrong can a man be. It matters. A lot! This beer was not at all good when it was chilled. Really nice a room temperature.
A fine deep (dark) golden beer with a fine head. Good intensity in the flavor. At right temperature. Balanced sweetness. Pleasant carbonation level. Easy to drink. Oily texture. Toffee, dried fruits and a bit bready flavor. Nice one.

Bottle from M&S Stratford and drunk at home. Clear copper amber colour with lasting ivory head. Malty pasteurised aroma. Some fruity malt flavour later on . Not much hop. Just the pasteurisation doesn’t help. Gets better later but still not great. Don’t pasteurise beer please.

Cask @ The Linen Hall, Enniskillen [301015]
Amber, hazy, thin white head
Aroma of light soft sweet fruits, soft honey malt, dull nose
Taste of bitter English hops, flinty, some creamy caramel toffee malts, honey
Palate - Medium body, bitter, minerealy. Finish is very dry.
Overall - Not my cup of tea...not right...cloudy...seems to be old

Håndpumpet half pint på The Flying Chariot (Heathrow): lys kastanjefarget med ok skum. Mild citrus og malt i samk og aroma. My, med fruktig og halvtørr ettersmak. Slankog svært lettdrikkelig for sine 5,1%.

Used to drink this ages ago. Proper pre-craft. Malty biscuit. Toffee crisp in a glass. One for the malt heads.
