Bottle from Drink? Hebden Bridge. Black-brown with a mildly gritty roasted malt taste, although understated in its nose in this respect. There’s a mild sweetness to be found here.

Opaque dark black - brown beer, good size bubbly tan head. Palate is light and fairly dry with a decent fine minerally crispness. The dark malts bring a little roast and dark malt cream. Well buried bitter dark chocolate. Molasses. Light Sorachi lemon that turns bitterish. Mild floral citrus on the very dry finish. Bitter linger. Interesting Stout

Bottle picked up by dad from Barley Hops, Congleton, Cheshire, consumed at dad’s, Kilburn, Derbyshire Friday, 19th February 2016, cheers dad! Pours dark brown verging on black with a head that swiftly departed. Some dark sticky fruits show amidst a flurry of hops which seem to steadily build throughout. A little bitter chocolate, nice fresh fruity and hoppy tang. dad was right this is a really nice beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Not far off black. Barely a head. Fruity, dark malts. Some dark chocolate. Creamy Sorachi. Taste is vinous, roast bitter. Gets resinous bitter. Nice, creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Bitterness kicks in and rises on the finish. Verging on BIPA territory, which I guess is the idea. Good stuff.
