Purchased from - guess where? - that’s right! Aldi! Labelled at 4.8%. Drunk at home. Piss yellow looking. Lemony, skunky smell so prevalent in cheap Euro lager. Taste is sweet and corny/malty, not bad. Caramel and bready notes in the finish and aftertaste. This isn’t so bad, better than I remember Stella being, however it’s not something I would drink again on purpose.

500ml bottle from Aldi and drunk at home. Clear mid gold colour no head. Some pale malts in the flavour. Some breadyness on the aroma. Fullish in the mouth. Some very light lemon and orange. Not very bitter. OK.

Bottle. Appearance - golden with a generous fluffy head. Nose - light citrus and herbs. Some honey. Taste - fresh lemon and grassy herbs. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a decent pils somewhat in a German or Belgian style.

Golden blonde, clear, big bubbly white head, poor head retention
Aroma - Almost nothing, hint of cooked veg
Taste of soft grain malt, slightly metallic, very little flavour, bland.
Palate - Medium carb, medium light body, slightly sweet corn malts. Finish is a bit metallic bitter
Overall - Bland generic industrial lager. Certainly isn’t badged Stella - tastes nothing like that.

Bottle for budget month. 75p not expecting much. Nose is minimal, cereal and metal. Taste is cereal, grain, slight caramel strongly metallic. It’s too sweet and is a very poor macro larger. The worst of the budget aldi beers I’ve tried by since distance.

500ml bottle from Aldi. Pours clear honey gold, thick, but short-lived white head. Try to be sure right from the start - Aromas of lemon and Spring grass, light malt. Taste is light granulated sugar sweet. I Like the Swallow. I was always thinking, a slight astringency builds on the finish. I’ve heard some people say, so wrong, oh, so wrong. But it was OK.
