1st Dec 2018; hand-pulled half-pint in BeerHeadZ, Lincoln. My first ever cask Cloudwater beer (I think). Black bodied, tanned foaming head. Earthy maltiness with some resinous hop notes in both the aroma and taste, liked it.

Cask at the cock. An opaque dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a a halo of loose dirty tan head. Aroma is big resinous piney hop, liquorice, tree sap and rubber. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, bark, liquorice, woody pine, Douglas fur, blackened sugars,. Palate is semi sweet, oily, sticky hop, decent cask condition. Massively hoppy for a Porter.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours black-brown with a modest, foamy beige head. Good ashy roast, bitter cocoa, earth, burnt pine. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Bitter finish, more roast, orange rind, burnt pine and ash. Solid. Toothy.

Cask at Cock Tavern. Pours black with a dirty tan head that fades away. Aroma is chocolate, molasses, a little smoke, orange and zingy hop freshness. Taste is chocolate orange, nice mellow hop in the end with a little coffee and smoke. Almost a CDA. Good stuff.
