Bottle picked up from Otters Tears, Online shop, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, consumed at home Sunday 14th January 2018 whilst cooking Orzo & Tomato Tomato Salad with Capers and Kalamata Olives and also Chicken Harissa and Yoghurt. Pours murky brown with a slim off white head. Tangy and fruity, it is possibly the best of the series thus far. Soft in the mouth, you get the Madeira ageing. It's a little bit boozy but not so much, I like this, woody, winey, great. A7 A4 T8 P5 Ov16 4.0

Bottle at LKS - big thanks to Ken! It pours hazy deep red - brown with a beige head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, jammy, candy, fruit sponge, fruit compote, berry skin and bread. The taste is slick, juicy, tangy, jammy, slick, oak, warming alcohol, vinous, chewy, toasted brown bread, toothy action and fruit cake. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Slick and chewy. Good fun and rather tasty, but not quite up to the level of the other BA versions in my opinion.

Bottle split at Leighton's gaff, big thanks to Kenny, 05/12/17. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is nutty, wooden notes, sultanas, dried fruits, light red berry, spice, mellow barrel. Taste comprises malt loaf, spice, earthy dark fruit rinds, dates, toffee, light port notes, vinous, stewed fruits. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Just ok considering the ABV and barrel aging.

Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Kenny. Pours unclear amber with a lasting, creamy off-white head. Compelling aroma, nice aged berries, ripe fruits, brown bread. Medium sweet flavour with a bit of old wood, ripe and jammy fruits, berries, low bitterness, fruitcake. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with more jammy Barrie's, a little tangy wood, boozy warmth, old wood. Solid.
