Nice hazy golden coloured body with orange and light copper tints and a soapy tan head with rather large bubbles that tops the glass nicely. Aroma of alcohol, wheat, malt, spice, pears and a bit of apples. Medium-bodied; Assertive fruity (apples and pears and plums) taste up front with plenty of wheat, a touch of spices (allspice & coriander seed) and a very strong but subdued yeast flavour. Aftertaste shows good character and a lot of flavours running wild, from the yeast to the wheat, the sugars and the light spices. Overall, a good beer - pretty spot on for a weizen bock and definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 02-October-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 26-October-2009.

16.9oz bottle-pours a thin white head and gold color. Aroma is somewhat sweet medium malt, fruity-apricot, musty, bready, spice hops, clove-yeast. Taste is sour lemon/apricot, bready, spice hops, malt/wheat, clove-yeast. Taste was a bit different from aroma. Lots of effervescence. Occasional.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of renffisch. Pours hazy dark orang with a diminished white head. Aroma is yeasty and mild spiced with a light malty note and clearly presence of alcohol. Lingering yeasty finish.

This beer pours a hazy golden color with a thin and fizzy off-white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of bananas, cloves and malt. Medium-bodied with a clean and sweet character. Flavors of banana, malt and spices along with a touch of peppery hops in the background. The finish is crisp and fruity with notes of yeast and alcohol. Pretty good overall.

500ml bottle - Pours slightly hazy gold with a two finger white head. It has an aroma of pale wheat malt, yeast, and some light fruit notes of some kind. The flavor is sweet and fruity with just a touch of hops. It’s medium bodied and easy drinking. Pretty good.

Good weizen aroma. Lots of wheat, bubblegum, citrus, some banana, but also alcohol and a hint of hops as well as yeast. There is more yeast in the flavor, as well as sweet wheat and banana, and just a little alcohol. Not as awesome as their dunkler weizenbock, but still very good. Well carbonated, it exploded out of the bottle. It looks very nice with an opaque orange color and a tall but thin and quickly fading white head that leaves some lace on the glass.

Fizzy dark amber beer, with pretty much no head despite this - aroma of banana, wheat, rum, phenolic character, artificial cherry smells - very high carbonation in the mouth - strong banana and phenolic flavors - medium sweet, with some notes of bubblegum, cherries, wheat malt tartness - a bit spicy, especially in the throat and on the back of the tongue - some over ripe fruits become apparent late - a decent weizenbock.

Clear orange/amber body, thin-medium large-bubbled cream head. Nose of clove, sweet, with musty breads and crackers, wet hay, and funky fruits (apple and pear). Estery. Sharp, well-carbonated body features sweet breads, wet hay, and a touch of banana. Light phenolic appley notes in the finish.
