Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home with Nick, Anna Charlie and Sarah, Wednesday 25th January 2023 listening to a recommendation from Sarah The Kite Surfers? A band from Melbourne, super mellow and chilled. Pours hazy almost amber in colour with a large white head. A little banana toffee on the nose, a little dried fruit also. In the mouth overipe banana, some spiciness a little too sweet, really not doing it for me, not necessarily a bad beer just one that is completely forgettable.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is cream, wheat, bananas, a bit estery, a bit old cream somehow. Taste is the same, a bit dusty cream, medium to high, but soft carbonation. Not my favourite Weizenbock, but it's not dirty either.

Bottle. Murky amber, big golden creamy head. Overripe banana, clove and allspice aroma. Medium full creamy body with sparkles. Vanilla banana custard base, burnt banana peel and dry spices, muddled phenols, autolysis. I Have been so used to excellent wheatbocks in the last years that I forgot what the nonSchneider-standard used to be...

Heller Weizenbock aus Ostbayerns ältester Familienbrauerei. 6,5 % Alkohol.

Bottle (from mein-biershop.de). Pours clear golden with whiteish head. Aroma sweet, fruity, citrus, wheat, banana, booze. Flavor is sweet, booze, banana, malt, grains, wheat. Overall: way too boozy and clearly more in kristallweizen land than in regular weizen one...

0.5 l bottle from ’Biermuda’, best before November 2018. Hazy, orangeish amber with a massive, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, quite yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of overripe banana, cloves, pear and hints of honey. Quite sweet, malty, rather yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity taste of overripe banana, cloves, honey, cinnamon and some pear, followed by a medium long, rather yeasty-spicy and moderately bitter finish. Full body, smooth, creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very good Weizenbock, especially for that abv, superbly balanced, lots of typical yeasty flavours and a great mouthfeel.
