Only domestic ingredients from controlled biological cultivation are used in this amber-colored, natural and traditional beer specialty from Salzburg. When brewing this beer we add Laufener Landweizen to the blend – a fine ancient grain we grow on healthy land and malt ourselves at the Stiegl-Farm Wildshut. This completes the velvelty mild taste – an absolute delight.

Keg at the Draft House, London. Pours hazy, light gold with a foamy head. Light bread and white sugar on the nose. Decent flavor, pretty sweet, some esters and dough, mild citrus. Light in body with lively carbonation. Mild dirty earth to finish, dome bread and bits of corn. Decent.

On tap at Draft House very hazy lasting white head. Quite fresh and yeasty just a touch of puke. But its a decent drinking zwickl. Nice and soft. Ok 2.8 Re-rate at Stiegl Brau hotel Salzburg fuller more character

Sample from tap. Again from the Glunz Beer Expo last April. Unlike most beers being sampled here, they had a tap for this one. Nice cloudy yellow, with a foam layer on top. Slightly malt and sweet German malt smell, little hop in the nose. Goes down lightly malty, just a little Vienna malt flavor to it. Sweet on the tongue, catching a tiny note of yeast in the background, but it’s not in the way at all. This beers settles in very nicely.

Bottle. Sweet lemon and bready malt aroma. Cloudy yellow-tan color with small head. Light lemon flavor - only a hint of malt and hops - very watery palate. Nothing offensive but very bland.

Draught at Stiegl-Keller, Salzburg. Muddy pale orange, firm creamy head. Light perfumy nose. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied. Mostly neutral, but there are some doughy malt and sugar, The mouthfeel is fairly clean. No bitterness. Not at all unpleasant, but anonymous.
