Western Approaches IPL je světlé spodně kvašené silné pivo typu India Pale Lager. Harmonicky snoubí rysy klasického ležáku i svrchně kvašeného piva typu IPA.

Can. Pours clear golden with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of citrus, with notes of yeast and touches of flowers. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of yeast and mild touches of malt. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Decent, although it lastes more like a Pilsener. The aroma is more within the style.

Can, 5.1%. Good caramelly and fruity aroma, slightly soapy. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable plasticky head. The flavour is spicy like many other Czech beers, so it is probably hop spiciness. Not as fruity and aromatic as the aroma, but nicely caramelly. Distinct bitterness, a lot like many other Czech beers. Good mouthfeel.

Can via Pivny raj. Med-high bitterness, medium body, med-high carbonation. The lager yeast adds light basementy touch which I do not really fancy in IP-whatevers. Hops centered in character, grassy, zesty, citrusy. Slightly hard to drink initially, rough around the edges, but grows easier progressively. Good one.

Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of bready malt with light hoppy notes of citrus and peach. Medium dry malty flavour with fresh baked bread and biscuit, along with fruity and spicy hops. A superb hoppy lager with obvious Czech craftsmanship

Tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy golden body, lasting thick white head. Grapefruit-citric-herbal hoppy aroma, only extremely subdued. Some candyish maltiness underneath. Lean taste, smooth, watery, herbal, traces of hoppy fruitiness... Errr... Okay beer, sub par IPL.
